Au Ra Pose(male) =(

The male Au Ra have to kneel down on one knee just to hug the female Au Ra so no their not barbarian brutes yes they won't run from a fight with out reason but I think their also in a way gentle giants.

If you played a few of the level 50 dark knight quests you'd see it confirms this.

I got over the male pose pretty quickly, now it doesn't bug me, but that run. It looks like he's trying to run with a parachute.

The female poses still bugs me, that super cutesy "my knees are so weak senpai" look is still bothersome. The run is perfect, though. I can lessen the effect of the wobble knees with certain gear, too.

I think they should have had both Raen and Xaela have access to both scale colors, then made completely separate models for the two clans.

-Male Xaela being the same, but the female counterpart being a little more... manly... and tall

-The female Raen being the same, but the male counterpart being a little less... angry... and tall

The xaela are supposed to be a warrior race, while the raen are more domesticated.

YES, that's the perfect way to describe my issue with them, thank you! The run is great too, it looks strong and solid. The incredible hip jab they got rocking in idle bothered me at first, but it can have a certain sass to hit if you give your Au Ra a face that says "I am dissatisfied with all of you". I loved the face I made for mine, just had this perma-sneer, but almost any emote broke character immediately, lol.

What's sad is i really enjoy the quests where they have you look around for something, because your "looking around" pose gets rid of wobble leg.

If they gave me more serious poses without wobble leg, i'd be happy.

You don't know how much I agree with this. Like I really wish the theme was extreme amounts of dimorphism between the two clans instead of the sexes, which feels already done by the Roegadyn tbh. I wish tbee Xaela really pounded in a savage warrior idea, both of the sexes being tall and strong looking, while the Raen pounder in a more domesticated peaceful idea, being smaller and elegant looking. Though I still think they should keep the dark scales for Xaela and the light ones for the Raen, just give us the option to give them a certain color, like a Xaela with inky blue scales as opposed to a Raen with super soft blue scales.

I would play a female Xaela like that. I find them so disappointing - they apparently tried to go for "mysterious and aetherial" but they ended up just being "cute monster girl #327" and exactly the same as Miqo'te except with horns.

Yeah, they really dropped the ball this go around with poses and animations. I can't project the power and intimidation a Dark Knight embodies, with all of these sassy hands on mah hips looks. So I stick to the default.

Like.. did they seriously lack enough time to develop different models for the clans? The race was finalized by 2.2 conceptually, so I find it really annoying that it's just a pallette swap for the clans. Heck there's not even minor feature changes like with the Miqo'te or Lalafell.
