You can stop a macro mid-way but pressing the macro button again. I use it all the time when I want to re-equip certain traits that have fallen off due to switching to a low ranked class but don't want to go through my entire trait equip macro.I would prefer saving gear configuration, and spell configuration while we're at it. The line-by-line delay on macros and the inability to stop a macro once it's started makes me want to avoid macros for this type of purpose whenever possible.
If gear switching is very commonplace because of repair issues and the consensus is that more macro space really is the superior answer, then fiiiiiiine, but I'd still like the spell configuration to be saved by class.
