DX11 Crashing?

So... I want to add a suggestion here, only because I somehow managed to make the game crash at launch while I was trying to resolve a different issue.

Try updating the Visual Studio 2010 C++ runtime.

At some point during my attempts to install a SDK that required uninstalling the C++ runtime so the SDK could install an older version, I tried running FFXIV and it would crash at launch. So I went back through the Microsoft website to find the most recent 2010 runtime, and that fixed it.

But that doesn't mean this will fix it for everyone, just those who have software on their system that was insistent on installing the old version.

I haven't done enough stress testing, but changing the game client to run in Full Screen is helping me. I haven't seen a crash for three hours since I changed it, and I was getting CTD every hour or so on Boarderless Window.
Running on a Radeon 285 with latest beta drivers.

I have an amd r9 285 I run bordered windowed mode. Had to go back to directx 9 to stop the frequent freezeups and crashes. I even installed beta drivers 15.6. I will try running in full screen to see if it crashes since I was not before. Thx for the suggestion I hope it works but I do prefer windowed so I don't have to tab out to access my task bar which is unfortunate.

I was using driver 350.12 every game was running great FFXIV also on DX11 never crash but I wanted to verified what people was saying about FFXIV 64bit so I decided to uninstall all NVidia drivers wait for windows to install default driver then install 353.30 then suddenly most of the games the use DX11 start causing the driver to crash no the game, the game crashes because the driver crashes first, I already summit this to NVidia

Memory: 16.00 GB RAM

I'm running 353.30 (June 22 2015) on a Geforce 760 GTX and it's not currently crashing. Only futzing with the MSVCRT files induced the crashing.

I`ll try the tessalation thing tonight, lets see what i get. Will update later

UPDATE:

well, tonight i tried to turn tessaletion to normal and run in fullscreen, no crash during 4 hours of gameplay. Will try again tomorrow and see if is still stable or just placeboo. But so far so good.
People with NVIDIA cards, and probably AMD too, that were crashing try the solution proposed by Tawn.

Set tessellation to normal and run fullscreen.

Something seriously wrong with this game at the moment, i've crashed around 7/8 times today, on both windows 8.1 and windows 10 preview

Drivers 353.30 & 353.06

usually crashes to desktop but had a few hardlock my pc fully and had to restart

not good, actually did a fresh install of my windows 8 to see if it would fix it and nooope, crashed within about 30 seconds after loading into a zone

tesselation is on normal, i do run borderless window though...hate fullscreen

Have you tried to repair the VC redists like KisaiTenshi suggested? Since the tesselation at normal didnt work for u

i've just reinstalled the 2008 VC redists that were currently installed....also installed the 2010 VC redists...because, hell why not...will report back
