DX11 Crashing?

Anyone else have an issue with the DX11 client crashing? I did a brief glance at the topics and I didn't see anything.

I have an NVidia Geforce GTX 970 SSC, so I don't need a new video card.

I get no error code, just a flat out "FFXIV Has stopped Working" dialog window and everything crashes. I have had it happen at least half a dozen times. I switched to DX9 last night and ran several hours with no crash. I run borderless windowed mode. Kind of sucks, I was enjoying the new graphics.

I've had this happen occasionally. Usually it happens when I log out and try to exit the game, but I did get one crash mid-gameplay while flying in Western Highlands. Might be they still have a few bugs to fix.

driver version you are running. And do you have chrome running at the same time if so turn off hardware acceleration in chrome settings.

Pretty much every time I quit the game it crashes to a black screen.

I have this all the time,gtx 970. Whenever i try to enter an instance crash to desktop, zone into ishgard from 2.0 area bang crash to desktop. I gave up and just went back to directx 9 and havent had a crash since. Seems to be a problem mainly with 900 series cards and directx 11, there is a few people talking about it in the technical forums but not any word yet from SE about it.

This is the only time I crash with a GTX Titan X on DX11 client Windows 8.1. Workaround: Never stop playing.

I have crashed to desktop once with GTX 980 latest drivers. I was trying to teleport somewhere and it crashed. Unfortunately I'm on Balmung so after that crash I was screwed, had to quit for the night.

It seems like a common nvidia driver issue primarily with dx11 platforms... are you getting a "TDR" error message from the windows platform as well?

I'm really starting to wonder if its actually the server causing the client to crash. I'm going to be running fully DX9 the next few days to see if i still get crashes when opening various UI elements such as PF, DF. Or when I'm loading into dungeons. It's very demoralizing when you spent a hour attempting to login, and then you go to do a duty and crash, and have to start all over again. I'm using a AMD Radeon R290x GFX. Also I'll notice when I do crash, and try to log back in, it will say theres like 900+ people in queue, so its almost like part of the server crashed, and dumped people.

My DX11 crashes very randomly. Flying in a zone, walking, in town, in a dungeon ect. Doesn't really matter what im doing.

I could be running the game for 5 minutes and crash or running for 5 hours then crash. Install the latest Nvidia drivers for my 970 the other day, and it didnt make a difference.
