Why can't you do it? Are you the only new player in the game? Did you ever consider making some friends?

Actually, people will be low-manning that content now. Many were able to low man it before, just were forced into having full parties. Don't be surprised to see some groups in the PF looking for specific makeups because all ARR old content has been un-gated and we can go in as we like now - solo or in smaller groups.

It's not the end of the world like you are making it out to be, and frankly, this content couldn't stay relevant forever. It's time for new raids.

oh, and this is NOT FFXI.

That game was stagnant because things were relevant for TOO FREAKING LONG (I'm looking at you, okotes).

Don't even bring such things up to give SE any bright ideas.

it would be nice if you could just progress through the entire game naturally, but that's just the way it is now. You know like once 50 grind wondera's palace for gear, then AK, and so on. But youshi wants most peaple to be up to the current content in this game without having to go through all the other stuff to get there.

Regular rpg's is where you go if you want the same experiance every time you play it.

i lvl my job etc, and when i reach lvl 50 what a big surprise to me to see that i can buy ILVL 115 stuff (full set, accs, weapon) for less than 50K...

Because 115 is the default gear for level 50. The vast majority of new players will be progressing towards Ishgard instead of gear locking themselves and "train" at Coils.

Just because you are given the gear, doesn't mean you can't wear your old gear for a challenge. You have a choice. Don't just swallow everything handed to you then complain that it doesn't taste good. You can choose what to swallow.

They made a mode just for you! Minimum item level mode! So now even uppity new players all hurt about not experiencing 2.0 Titan hard can experience one of the lowest points of ARR.

For the record... I think Titan HM is like ilvl 50-60?

Nobody is forcing you to buy these items, if you wish to farm the i120/130 items, then you can do that. I have leveled all the battle classes of 2.0 and only two classes are geared with i120/i130, being able to buy a i115 gears is probaly one of the best things that SE have done with this expansion.

It's made for people who want to enter Havensward ASAP, so they can clear the i90 requirement of the last two story trials.

You can't even buy the 115 stuff till you get to Ishgard, so how would that help you get past the 90 hurdle before HW?

MSQ 2.0-2.55 awards an ilvl 90 set to make sure you meet min ilvl reqs. 115 is to make jumping into Ishgard not as blatently painful. And to bridge the gap between the ilvl 120-130 vets.

Edit: it may actually be 110, unweathered soldiery stuff. I am not 100% what it awards. Just that it is lower than poetics.
