{DEV/MOD} Starter Players / Level 1 Sending Tells Please Help !!!!

I thought after they stopped trial accounts from sending tells the RMT spam would stop. I see now that even still they allow level 1 characters to send tells and search a zone they have never been too. I.E. Lvl 1 character in Ulda just sent me a tell.

1. I do not know him so how is it he can just send me a tell?

2. Why are low level players able to search zones they never been too and harass players in those zones?

3. Here we go again /busy or taking off the tells in my chat box and during EA i was able to once again enjoy private tells. /cry

Still , My Point #2 would solve many of the problem I and many others have with RMT spam. Till they get to Heavensward lol.

If a player has not been to that zone they should not be able to send a tell or search that zone. IMO

Low levels are allowed to search all zones so they can find their friends. I would hate to be a low level that started playing because of multiple friends playing but can't search for them.

So your answer to making friends is to stay in uldah all day and spam tells to ppl you do not knowing trying to get them to buy your gil or send random friend requests? no thanks I don't need those kind of friends

I've seen level 1's in MD. I don't want ARR left in a terrible state where you have to go to HW to enjoy the game again. Someone else suggested that trial accounts should not be able to send /tell and it would fix 90% of the remaining RMT spam. Of course, people will still spam via /shout but it's better than we currently put up with.

Trail accounts can't send tells, or friend requests now. The problem is most RMT spam tells comes from stolen accounts using stolen credit cards.

I am in HW and the gil spam is back to the way it was before.
SE doesn't seem to perma ban accounts, or give us the tools to easily report spammers and temporarily add to block list so I am afraid this is always going to be a problem.
As an absolute last resort they can ban ip's. Horrible idea I know but it could be done even if temporarily.

It really depends on your Server. Behemoth and the other major populated servers saw less of this because of 24/4 server queue so it prevented a lot of RMT to create characters.
