Was not able to pick up copy of Heavensward but still able to play?

Hello, I went to pick up Heavensward from Eb Games in Perth (Australia) but could not due to a shipment error and is not able to pick up my by somthing this week (when ever eb gets them in)

But I tried to log in to see if I could still play ARR version due to not having Heavensward but I was able to do to the maps in Heavensward and play it. I was wondering if this is normal to happen due to early access? and due to not having a copie of the game yet will I get banned for playing ?

Just wonted to know since I loged out of the game and came here to see if it was still safe to play?

Did you get a preorder code emailed to you and registered that? If so you have early access until 27th I think, won't be able to play past that if you don't get your copy with the code for HW.
