yes i know i can do that and i wasnt saying how to get diffrnt music to play i am wondering if anyone knows if changin the ingame music would be against the terms and rules since i could not find anything about it
even if its allowed i would not attempt in doing so i only want to know since there are ways to do this
and what i am talking about is like changin up the music of like mounts or battle music etc
I just go into system options, turn bgm all the way down and play whatever on youtube or media player.
But I want all of Cid's Cutscenes to have the same unique song that he had in 1.0. Rumor has it, this song is actually in the files sense 2.0. So why SE has chosen not to use it, for what its intended for is anyone's guess. It was his trademark song you heard every time you had a CS with him.
Cid's Theme 1.0
Cid's theme DOES play several times in 2.0. Notably during the scene about Cid's backstory and also within the Waking Sands immediately after you clear Praetorium for the first time.
It's one of my favourites.
That track is called Dreams Aloft, and I'm sure I've heard it play several times in certain cutscenes in ARR - sadly I can't remember exactly where I've heard it. But I can honestly say it is in ARR (just not as Cid's theme naturally).![]()
It's heard during weddings.
Honestly they just need to bring back Twilight over Thanalan. >_> I've heard it like... once post-Calamity for about 10 seconds and that's just not good enough.
Greetings, everyone!
In reference to the topic of modifying game files, I will provide a reference to the Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement, in particular sections 2.6 (Hacking and Circumvention) and 2.7 (Modifying or Creating Derivative Software). I will be closing this thread with this reference, since the User Agreement provides the answer to the question.
