A huge thank you to the Heavensward Team (Mini-spoilers)

I would just like to say thank you to everyone involved in the development of Heavensward it is he single most best expansion i have ever played on any game. Down to the smallest details it is amazing, all the new areas took my breath away i love to just fly around and explore them.

However, my biggest thank you goes to you for the dungeons and trials, you blew my mind. Not only were the fights keeping you on your toes, but they involved solving mechanics and teamwork, which is fantastic!

The new jobs are very well done aswell, each has its own place and role to play that differs from what already exists, which makes them unique and fun to play, not to mention flashy

The story was amazing, full of joy, tears, and "oh #!@% !" moments. (you made me....my wife cry *ahem*) the story keeps you attached like a fish on a hook, and surprises you more then once, you expect or guess one thing then your just sat there like "well...damn!" i loved it, and i look forward to the continuation of the story.

All in all, thank you. A lot of people didn't expect the expansion to be this good (even me) but you prooved us wrong and blew is away, no doubt about it. Now take a well deserved rest and let Yoshi.P get some sleep. .

I agree with this. Been playing since Early Access start, and there's just so much awesome going around in this expansion that it brings a tear to my eye. The locales look amazing, the story has reached amazing levels, the dungeons and boss fights are downright perfectly balanced and challenging, and there's just so much to do. You guys have earned a vacation and a raise in my book!

The xpac is incredible for sure. Classes and music are the standouts for me. Have yet to encounter any crippling bugs (certain skills can't be macro'd, which is kinda annoying). And the writing and VOs aren't grade school for once.

Now let's see how the servers handle the full load of players before handing out merits I'm amazed, though, at how well and fast they had early access back up and running.

Don't know the 60 dungeons as i am almost 59 but everything so far has been faceroll. I am not trolling and if you look at my previous comments i have made a ton of posts thanking the team for the expansion but the leveling content is faceroll, apart from some of the actual MSQ instances and job quests.

Have to agree sadly. Ravana was a lot of fun and so was the Aery, but Sohm Al and Dusk Vigil were huge disappointments.

For anyone that's been an avid player of Anarchy Online. The shadowlands expansion was the best thing ever for the longest time, they got it all right, the ambience, the bgm the story and overflow of content and items that all ties together to create an engaging and immersive gameplay.

Heavensward just hit the mark on all those keypoints and i'm not even a quarter of the way through the story content. FFXIV forever.

An overall great job was done, there are some things that didn't sit quite right, but aren't worth mentioning. The one thing i'll have to disagree with is the voice acting. While i know and realize that things happen, and original voice actors might not be able to be rehired, it makes me sad seeing what has happened to some of my favorite characters. The new Merlwyb voice isn't bad, but being as she was a pirate once, i feel that the new voice actress, while doing fine, just doesn't have that "rough and tumble" feel of the original. While most of the voice acting changes were just a tad jarring to hear, being used to hearing a different voice, some of the new voice actors are just cringe worthy. I know some people didn't like Sam Riegel as Alphinaud, but this new voice actor is just jarring, doesn't have emotion, and hardly fits Alphinaud's character. I know ranting won't bring back the originals, but i would like to see something as to why so many voice actors were replaced.
