Midgardsormrs children question... (post-HW so thread may contain spoilers)

As an aside - I think Fafnir's a good shout. We've had so many dragons in the game at this point that you can tell which names they're avoiding e.g. in WoD, the "Five-Headed Dragon" is traditionally Tiamat, but since they didn't use that name they were obviously saving it.

Similarly, Jormungand won't be one of the 7 or the mother or anything probably because the adds in the Queen Scylla/Xande Clone fight are Thor and Jormungand (likely a reference to Ragnarok). I know we've had name changes before but that was more to do with japanese naming stuff and there's a whole post from Koji about that.

So I'd go for Fafnir personally ... possibly Shinryu but I'm not sure on that since Omega is still very much in the picture and all, though again the likelyhood of them going with the Shinryu vs Omega branch of FF lore is in question.

I think I'd prefer Fafnir over Shinryu, to be honest. After Midgardosrmr's saying that he came to this planet and fathered all dragons in this world, I've formed this nagging preference that Shinryu somehow be above him... "out there" somewhere.

So, anyone remember the frozen chained up dragon in the original HW preview video? I happened to find it out in Red Rim in Coerthas West, and it sure as hell looks like the pink dragon.

To be fair Shinryu is usually opposite of Omega in many ways, and the fact that we haven't gotten to that point quite yet means we still have quite a bit of time. Then again they might instead go with Yiazmat instead...he was a giant Wyrm right? I never actually got to fight him.

Seems accurate to what we know! I just wish we knew what Bahamut looked like before being summoned as a Primal, since none of the dragons in the picture seem to really look all to much like him. I do agree, though, that Green & Pink are good suspects.

I don't think that's any of the Seven. We would have heard mention of another of them being dead, and Midgardsormr said the Seven spread across Hydaelyn long before Ishgard came around, so I highly doubt the dead dragon in Coerthas Western Highlands is one.

Considering we kill Vishap while on the Steps of Faith, it may simply be another dragon that looks similar.

That dragon is dead. That's why I said it's Vishap.
