The constant R0's need to stop

I've had it for about two weeks now, and it's severely damaging my gaming experience. I will very rarely dc, but I get R0's, sometimes every other minute. They normally last about 3-10 secs, but sometimes they last as long as 2, 3 mins. Needless to say, it affects everything I do in game.

I know SE has acknowledged this problem as their fault due to server overload issues, but they need to fix it, and they need to fix it now. I've been very patient so far, but two weeks is way to long.

Is there a chance that it could be your router? My two brothers and I play FFXIV in the same house and we would constantly get R0 for extended periods times and, more often than not,DC from the game. Even when logging back on, not 5minutes later the same problem would occur. I couldn't tell you how many times we would run the 45 raid with our ls and DC'ed not even 3 minutes into run. It was starting to give us a bad rep lol.

We did some research and found out that our original router, the AT&T 2wire with a built in modem, and discovered that while ok for web serfing, it was a steaming pile of crap for online gaming. After we upgraded like about a month ago, we've never had an issue with R0 anymore.

Not saying that your router might be the problem but it is definitly worth a look

unfortunally it is not the router, I had the problem as the OP, I CANT play at Besaid and Linblum but can play at w/e 1 chocobo status server as for low population

Yeah, I wish it was my router because at least then I could try and fix it, but it isn't. I appreciate the help, though!

I have a feeling that they're not going to do anything about it until the maintenance for 1.19.

It would help them if they even looked at your post with more info about your system/modem/router and even a tracert log. Since there isn't a thread with a hundreds of replies it could very well be issues with either you home setup and/or your ISP. I know when WoW changed to a new series of ports I think after 4.1.X went live my ISP was at fault because they had the new port for the login server block for incoming data.

So give some more info about your system and a connection log also I would call your ISP ask them to please monitor your connection for any issues. Many times they will just record you for a few days and then release the ports (if being the issue).

thank for you guys trying to help but if you read the thread I created LINK you ll see that we already got reply from the DEV that the server is overload. AND for the last time, it is NOT my ISP, if it is MY ISP at faul then we should not be able to play at low population server as well, but I can it just not the server I play, and if you notice, the ppl who got the problem are from high population server

Game worked fine yesterday, so I thought it was finally fixed, but they came back again today. Starting to really do my head in.

I hear about this off and on. I honestly think it's regional or something to do with your ISP, computer, or certain hardware. I have never gotten R0 on my setup, and I have 2 accoutns and 2 computers. I have verizon and no router.
