Summoner gets no new pets in expansion

so you were hoping we get new pets in this upcoming expansion. hope you like being trolled. cause its not happening you gain new pets at all. none no shiva no ramuh and no levithans...

sucks to be you hun have fun with 3 small pathetic playthings. what we got was more direct damage attacks. overpowered tri-disaster and ((More Mircos for Pet-Buffs as if we didnt have enough Pet Buffs already!. starting see SE loving troll players of community. they are basically saying you not ever gonna get new pets. your stuck with pathetic tiny things as pets. and your only getting revamped and remade abilitys for your summoner

1) This is incredibly old information and has already been discussed at great lengths over the course of no less than 3 large threads.

2) This is exactly what SMN needed to be a viable member of parties at endgame. SMN does not need 3 new egis that function the same as the original 3 egis because really how are you going to differentiate them to a point that they bring something unique to the table without pigeonholing people into using the "best" one just like Garuda is used now. Instead you will get the ability to channel Bahamut himself to use the most powerful attack that existed in ARR, not a bad trade. This also should hopefully drastically increase SMN's burst damage, which could be fairly problematic in certain tight DPS checks unless the SMN was very good at their class.

3) They will be implementing an egi glamour system so that while the way the summons play will remain the same, you'll soon be able to glamour shiva, ramuh, leviathan and who knows what else onto the three different summons that you currently have. This further opens up the possibility for egis in the future for summons in previous games which didn't get the primal treatment in this game, causing an uproar from some vocal summoners (Diabolos and Fenrir primarily, maybe Siren).

4) You seem caught up on the "pathetic tiny playthings" so I only assume you thought the next round of pets were going to be larger and more similar to the primals themselves other than the egis. I would go ahead and get over this right now. I doubt you will ever get permanent pets that are larger and look like the primals. This game has tons of dodging mechanics and the other 7 people in your party don't want to deal with having to look at your massive pet taking up large chunks of precious screen space while they're trying to execute their own jobs.

I call this lazy and BS. Seriously am done with SE. WoW, after 11 years of development has a total of

5 pets - locks. Only 2 are used in raid content, others are pvp.
3 pets - hunters. Oh, they have a hundred different pet models? this is what a glamour is. But only 3 pet types really, and each only bring -one static raid buff, which is completely passive-. And only 1 type is used in raiding.

So...how much exactly do you expect out of 3 years of FF14?

This just in: Summoner isn't the only job in this game. You're seriously going to get bent out of shape because SE isn't going to put in 6 times the effort on SMN than they are on any other job? You want them to update Ifrit, Garuda and Titan with new abilities for the expansion and design 3 more completely different, completely unique and completely viable summons all while upgrading the actual job itself. That's asinine.

Yes, let's look what they did on first FF14. They jacked it up to high hell and made arguably the worst MMO to ever release. Let's also look at what they did afterwards: they made it F2P until they felt they had a game "worth paying for", they completely redesigned it into the current iteration, and they re-released an actually good game. Sorry SMN isn't going the way that you demand but they are keeping it balanced and viable for all content which is far more important than "MOAR EGIS". SE has made its fair share of mistakes, but the constant stream of "change SMN nao" threads is insane.

Heavensward's release date is pushed back to make time for these changes. All because your business is so super important. Without you, they'd go out of business, for sure.
