best way to lvl 50-60? do all quests per zone or leave after certain levels

basically whats the most efficient way to level up main story + sidequest and leave after you hit a certain lvl in a zone

Or just grind out all quest in a zone noi matter what.

for example in an area like forelands should i move on after 54 or stay till all quests are done.

Grind out all the Zones for Quests. Then do Aery several times to get buffers accordingly. in the end, you're going to be dungeon grinding or fate grinding to close the gaps. Daily roulettes, Challenge logs, etc.

depends....i have at least 2 other jobs i want to play at 60. i get fast invite as a tank. so i rather do a bunch of dungeons and reserve the sidequest for my dps job instead of doing the quests and be damned to fate grind when i lvl the dps.

I would do the side quests on your first character to 60, that way you at least unlock flight in each of the areas. Once you unlock the dungeons though, they seem to be better exp

I recommend unlocking flight (this typically means moving to the next area), then double back to complete the sidequests. With flight, you will save a lot of time and on some maps, headache.

Most of the sidequests were kept aside for a second Job. I did only the quests that give wind current.
Until I get to 56 where I was stuck with no MSQ and being a DPS, queues are quite long. To close the gap, I did most of the Moogles quests (and now, I hate those things...)

I would suggest to do half of the quest in a given area, spam dungeons if possible, logs, roulettes and as Limelol said: clan hunts ! That's something like 200k+ exp everyday that requires perhaps 20min to complete ?
