No gaming company whether it be SE, Blizzard, ArenaNet etc can please everyone, they aim for their audience and tell the story/design the game as they envision it. I am not saying that companies are never influenced by their players, but usually not on major game direction.

Saying that I have loved the start of Heavensward, it has engrossed me from the start. Yes there are fetch quests here and there, but they are often the calm before the storm ... love it.

Also as for flying, I enjoy that I have to open flying up in each zone, and I enjoy the way to have done it, it encourages exploring on your main job, but then it is open for you levelling subsequent jobs.
