

Yeah I have a friend that is upset by this:
"I should be able to be in the same instance when in same party or let us select somehow. It sucks doing all these solo instances then be kicked out in different world instances. Let us do everything together, this is a social game"



here is to hoping the devs actually remedy this rather than just ignore it and remove the instances when the croud dies down then the next expac the same complaints. c'mon devs please fix this, you never know for sure when you will have to use the instanced model again

Hmm.. channels/instances I feel would be pretty cool to keep regardless- At least for the higher pop servers!! And as others have mentioned have a UI display that lets you flip between the channels. RO2, GW2, Terra, Blade and Soul...quite a few games do this and as the population thins or gains during the day the instance adds or drops channels. There is also like a 20Second cool down between channel switching. It also allows you to switch to your party leads channel.
Agreed though, doing a MSQ and then getting tossed in different instances is a little silly. Then having to play the Who is closer to the zone line to switch just to join back up is no picnic.

If the whole instance setup is here to stay with Stormblood world map areas, then at least give us the option to select the desired instance when teleporting to an area's aetheryte. Some form of prioritization where it keeps parties together when teleporting to an area's particular instance would be a nice touch as well, but I can understand how implementing that much would probably be difficult.

It embarrassingly took me a brief moment to realize this was an old thread. Spooky how we're dealing with the same exact problems even now![]()
oh I got a better one for you. partied with a friend and we ended up in different instances of the fringes. I manually walk out and switch. he died and got put in another instance when rezed.
This bloody stupid. At LEAST allow a party of grouped people remain in the same instance. I get you want to ease congestion in the game, however make it apply when the total players in that zone is large. Parties should be broken up either. and we should be allowed to change it on the fly. Really sucks trying to do the marks and hunts with friends when we can't get into the same instance.



This is what upset me a lot while I was levelling at the release of Stormblood. Ended up taking a little break from the game and when we came back we had so much fun cause we were always in the same instance

Old thread is old, but...
1) Make instances universally-available as a regular thing.
2) Spawn them dynamically and destroy them as needed.
3) Allow instant changing between instance via a dropdown at the top of the screen (attached to minimap, maybe?)
Instances should be a boon for the game, not a band-aid.

Why is this still not fixed?
