i loved TT in FF8, because it was a fun game.
TT in FF14 is only another restriction game: you have plenty of cards but you cant use them and build powerfull deck.
Thats why i gave up on FF14 TT, there is just no fun in it.

Can we just talk about how you having 5 cards on the field versus them having 4 in a game where you win by having more cards is listed as a DRAW? ...Like how the hell is that a draw in a game where having more cards is how you win?
Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.
I have also stopped playing TT.
That bs RANDOM gives power decks to NPC and 1* card to my deck!! And its ALWAYS one >3* card and rest 1* cards.
It's not about how many cards you have on the field.
It's about how many you HAVE. That includes your hand.
i stopped RANDOM playing the mini game, mainly RANDOM because of a citron rule that RANDOM makes them have 5 5 star cards while i am RANDOM set to only using 1 star cards in a match where you cannot win....
RANDOM
in all seriousness tho, i hate the fact they can use multiple cards with multiple A's keep the restriction for players v players, but don't have that against NPC's which already go against the rules you set up
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
It's because it's based on how many cards you own.
-You use all 5 cards and you own 5 cards on the field
-NPC has 4 cards on field and 1 on hand
=Each player has 5 cards, aka a draw.
If the game was designed based on cards owned on field there would be a slight unfair aspect to it since the one who uses 5 cards would have an advantage over the one who can only use 4. The field has 9 spaces, so the perks of going first is you get 5 moves, the perks of going 2nd is you have a +1 guarantee to cards you own. So ya, that's why it works the way it does otherwise it be unfair for the player who goes second because 1st player get 1 extra turn.
I would not mind the random rule if the NPCs had a pool of cards that included weak cards so it was actually even!
Not to mention the constant exploitation of the MGS tournaments leaves a bad taste.
Playing TT on my phone is a lot more enjoyable, and that is a shame ^^;;;
Isn't collecting all of the rare 5-star legendary cards great? I mean, its so awesome to have that one card you earned first in your deck, while the other 5-star cards just fill a page in a journal somewhere, collecting dust. Oh, but maybe collecting all of the 5-star cards gives you a slightly higher chance of getting one in a random match, assuming your equally large collection of 4-star cards doesn't block you by giving you a 4-star card instead.
What I'm saying is, we don't want it to be easy for players to acquire cards that they can't use.
Wow, brilliant idea just hit me. Let's put gear in the game that requires character level 70 to equip, but we can equip one piece only at level 60. Have fun collecting the full set that you can't wear!
I really don't care. I love to collect things, even if I use them or not.Isn't collecting all of the rare 5-star legendary cards great? As a side note, I hated the random rule in FFVIII as well, I remember how annoying was to get that Laguna Card.
Becuae it's simple, both players have 5 cards each, so they start with 5 cards. Because there is only 9 spaces, You can't lose more than 1 card outside of situations where Plus/Same and Combo allow the player with the "safe" card to take the board.
The object of the game is to take as many cards as you can, and hat is denoted by by color. Ig you have fave of your cards on the board and the opponent had 4. then it's a draw becuase he has 5 cards, but there is no space for that 5 one. Likewise if the opponent staters andyou mamange to keep 4 cards on the board, then it's also a draw.
The game counts all 10 cards at the end of a match, not the 9 cards on the board
