Make it happen.

9 days is relatively slow for an mmo just to get 10 levels to a new level cap. WoW's past couple of expansions took me 2-3 days maybe? FFXIV's biggest problem has always been that with the armory system quests are exhausted leveling the first character and subsequent characters are much more monotonous to level. IMO some kind of quest reset would be the best solution, possibly remove most of the rewards besides xp to prevent abuse.
Am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man... Or a bowling ball dreaming I'm a plate of sashimi?

I am sitting at the start of Alys At level 60. Not sure where you went wrong except maybe not using your food buffs?not even your first 60 has enough quest , i did all the quest in all the zones (yes i checked) and i was 800k short , even when i repeated some dungeons x2-4 , didnt touch fates at all some here and there but maybe what 15 fates at most while leveling....
the next 60 will have to fate level and ugh ....fates give little to no exp (even with armory bonus) ,and few ppl doing fates so meh , no hurry in leveling a new 60 but SE needs to boost fate exp for sure.

Firstly this is a completely different game from WoW since in wow you can literally buy level up stuff for real money. Secondly there are 12 jobs with 9 days max to level thats 3 and a half months.... For every single job to be maxed..... Now remember this is a choice for yourself you are not in any way required to level up every job to 60. Now if we go with we will say for a minimum to satisfy you 4 days for 50-60 that would be 1 month and a half..... Now remember most people had their class up to 60 in even 1 and a half days. It is by no means hard to level up and only 1 and a half months to get all jobs (with dedication) is not by any means horrible exp.
An extra 3% on the piddly experience that mobs offer isn't going to produce a difference like that. I was in the same situation as the person you're quoting where I picked the land clean of sidequests and still came up short and had to resort to clan marks and roulettes to make up the difference.

The amount of XP from FATEs is atrocious. It's like it's giving XP you would get at level 35 almost.
I feel they will definitely increase that later. They have to...what's the point of these hundred or so new FATEs if they aren't worth doing?
I think it's way too early to complain.
Do you really want to have all jobs (including the new ones) to 60 before the first major content patch comes out?
Hitting that max level should be an achievement. It should feel like one too. So naturally, it should require some time investment.
I think a lot of people just got too used to having free exp handed to them. I played at the launch of 2.0 and we didn't have things like Roulettes and Challenge Logs back then. I don't remember anyone complaining about how hard it was to level back then either. We just found the most efficient ways possible and did what we could.
The idea of killing just one normal monster and receiving 15,000 experience for it sounds ridiculous to me.
50% Armoury bonus for a L60 works on Fate XP. They are worth about as much as a side-quest, which is what it was back at ARR launch too. It may seem like it's slower, because grinding fates can be boring, but with no need to run around to grab/turn in quests it ends up being faster. Dungeons are also worth a crapload, and with Armoury Bonus dungeons will be worth 10-15% xp per run. It will take a bit, but it's going to end up being about the same as 50-60 with MSQ/Side story was.
