Heavensward Fishing Leves vs. Bait

I just wanted to make a quick post about the leve fish
Level 50
Blueclaw Shrimp (Bait: Stonefly Nymph)
Coerthan Crab (Bait: Caddisfly)
Lake Urchin (Bait: Stonefly Nymph w/Snagging)

Level 52
Three-lip Carp (Bait: Don't know yet)
Grass Carp (Bait: Purse Spider)

SO, the point is to catch 2 of the 3 level 50 fishing leve objectives, you need a lvl. 51 bait. The Stonefly Nymph.
AND, to catch the Grass Carp for the level 52 leve, you need a lvl 55 bait.

I'm filing this under "REALLY?!?"
So, if you want to level Fisher, I recommend figuring out how Collectibles work and grinding up the lowest level fish you can because with one exception (so far) you aren't high enough level to use the bait you need.

So grind a while you can catch almost everything with stonefly nymph including grass carp, you just need to fish in the right locations.

His complaint is about before you can equip stonefly nymph...on the job that is the most ridiculously easy to level of them all...by a long shot.

For the most part. I just think it's cheap to not be able to DO the level 50 leves until you're 51.

The fish you catch in HW offer so much XP for straight catch and especially for HQ that you will be able to hit level around level 53 just catching fish and using the survival guides you receive as a reward for the new level 50 class quest.

You'll be able to catch new fish with caddyfish larva and baloon bugs at a few fishing holes in CWH until you get to 51.


Put your boots on and go wet a line, its really not bad once you get going. I got fisher to 60 before my battle class was 53 and I only used 15 levels.

is it better leveling to 51 in 2.0 maps so can use the 51 bait?? i tried fishing in tailfeather ( dragon forelands) 30+ baits n nothin bit... even 2 new baits i brought in ishgard didnt work

Tail feather the stonefly works great for shrimp and in hundred throws can get shrimp catfish and carp tho I think weather has something to do with catfish and carp as I have only caught them in dust storms and fog.

Can anyone recommend where to fish after 55+? Bait etc.
