As far as I recall... only the enemy count has been reduced in books. So instead of 10 of each 10 monsters, it's only 3.

Every thing else is the same. Though FATEs respawn time is between 30 minutes to an hour now and with the Underparty feature you can get a Level 50 - 60 player to help you and burn through the old dungeons like nothing.
