Game issues?

For a while now i've been having some technical issues, i posted in the technical support forum but never got a reply. been like, a good few weeks or so.

anyhoo:

basically sometimes the game wont display my animations yet the actions will still incur, such as if i cast a cure itll all still work server side etc and all be dandy, but then after a while all my animations will catch up with me at once.
sometimes the music will also cut out, until the animations have caught up.
any ideas anyone?

What are your conputer specs? Is you graphics card overheating or your cpu?

this sounds like lag via your connection to the server. I have had this happen to me before and my remedy was to hard restart my router. try that.

My specs arent the issue, ive checked temps whilst playing and nothing exceeds 50-60 degrees

AMD Zambezi Quad Core, 4.2ghz (water cooled)
Nvidia GTX 970
Win 7
Corsair CX750M PSU
Asus M5790 Mobo.

it's all fine and dandy for the game, it didnt happen before, as for the connection i guess i can give it a try, but it did happen when i was on BT infinity getting 60mb/s

forgot to mention also sometimes my menus wont show, eg: teleport, character profile, etc.

The connection should not affect the music or animations for the game, those are client side. It is something with your computer. Are your drivers up to date. Did this start happening with Heavensward?

It could be corrupted game files. A fresh install of the game might solve your problem. It is a pain, but shouldn't be bad with your connection.

I'm also getting weird issues sometimes where my game freezes and it never ever did that before. Idk what's causing it either...I'm thinking of switching back to DX9 even though the benchmark said my comp can handle dx11 on max.

It could be corrupted game files. A fresh install of the game might solve your problem. It is a pain, but shouldn't be bad with your connection.

yeah it only recently started with HW, i downloaded the updates when they went live without any interruption etc, i could do a fresh install i guess, which might fix the issue, but if there was anything to avoid this then it'd be great such as only downloading HW content again

Even if you coukd just reinstall Heavensward, it wouldn't matter, because we are unsure what files are corrupted, if tgat is it. Did you switch from DX9 to 11? You coukd try going back to 9 and see if that solves your problem. It really sounds like a problem with your graphics card...
