Can't fly in Sea of clouds

I'm apparently missing one quest in the sea of clouds before I can fly there. I've done every single quest there besides the ones that make you go to the middle of the map. Since I can't fly I can't get to the middle of the map to do them. I need to be able to fly to unlock the new dungeon there. What am I missing? I've finished the whole story.

Is it possible the quest that your missing isn't available at your current level, or MSQ progression?

I'm at level 60 and I finished the whole story. I'm missing one quest. I can't get into the middle of the map at all. The only quests I have left are telling me to go there

Did you do the chain that starts outside fortemp manor? That one leads to a current

Thanks it turns out I didn't. I wish I knew about that one before since I never had that happen in the other area's

I got stuck on the same one yesterday, have to resort to reddit to find the solution..but yeah the manor temps guy! i spent sooo damn long trailing around SoC wondering what was going on lol

Thanks a bunch. I too have completed every quest for the main campaign, maxed to level 60 on my Paladin/Gladiator, and done every quest excluding the center ones at Sea of Clouds. Was wondering why after the compass claimed no further aether currents I still can not fly.

Heading back to Pillars now to check for that quest line you speak of near the manor.

Went back to claim the quest line from Foretemps Manor Guard. Ends up it leads to like the 4th quest needing me to have flying unlocked I think to access the north area for Sea of Clouds to complete quest "Tale of Two Moogles". Am I doing the wrong quest line?

FFS I was totally fine with never figuring this out. Now I have to finish it. I'll never get this hour back in my life.

GOT IT! It is the quest "Honoring the Past" right beside Foretemps Manor Guard. There's actually 3 quests here in a small grouping.

After that you get the actual aethernet quest called "Search and Rescue" from same person you turn in the last one. Done! Thank god I can now fly in all of HeavensWard maps.
