Did an instance, nothing gave experience. (Level 50)

I did Lost City of Ambapoor and nothing gave any experience. I don't understand this at all. Can anyone explain?

I suspect the level 50 instances from ARR contain enemies that just aren't programmed to reward experience for killing them. That's because prior to the expansion you're not getting experience at level 50. Perhaps it was an oversight on their part not to program experience in for those particular dungeons.

It's intended and written in the patch notes.. You can only gain exp from high roulette from those dungeons

[3.0] Players will now be rewarded experience points upon completing Duty Roulette: Main Scenario, Duty Roulette: Trials, or Duty Roulette: High Level prior to level 60.
However, players who do not use duty roulette to join level 50 duties associated with the above roulettes will not receive experience points.

No, not an oversight. They don't want you leveling 50-60 on Pre-HW dungeons. So none of the 50 dungeons grant XP.

You can still level off of FATEs in Eorzea if you want, but once you hit 50+ the FATEs in Ishgard are better.

You DO however gain exp from the level 15-49 dungeons, both from the mobs inside the dungeon and from the lowbie roulette. I dinged 51 in baby Haukke Manor.

It took around over 2 million EXP to go from around 55-56 and almost 3 million to go from 56-57 (I'm only 57 at the moment) so the novelty of using lowbie dungeons would wear off pretty quick trying to level to 60 that way.

Doing the high roulette rewards a chunk of exp at the end to encourage 3.0 players to still play the 2.0 50 dungeons. Other than that the patch notes did say that none of the 50 dungeons would pay exp per monster kill. Its working as intended. SE is making you play the new story to level up basically.
