    Save the Players!

    With the beastmen strongholds about to be released, a new mini-game could be added with them. Save the players, obviously the name is a work in progress.

    How it can be implemented, and how it'll work.

    Beastmen always have weird devices, or magic that no one else has. Like the Quadav stronghold had the Mute, and the Afflictor machines. The Mute cause a very bad silence, while afflictor cause a very bad curse effect.

    Now if the areas are instanced, or not it, could still work just not to sure about non-instanced.

    What I suggest is that the beastmen have a device that doesn't allow you to be raised, or homepoint. Instead you are automatically teleported to a jail cell somewhere in the stronghold. It is up to your team mates to save you. If everyone is captured, then you fail, and are warped out.

    How can you be warped out if you are captured? This can easily be part of the main scenario, the Selph, pay for you to be freed. After they want it back. 10k gil for each player in your party. So you can lose up to 80k from everyone. A fair penalty that promotes strategy.

    To save team mates you must fight the Jailor NM, for a key, evrytime.

    Bonuses for saving a team mate:
    1. Gil for those not captured.
    2. Dark Matter rewards
    3. An achievement- "No one left behind!" Save 1 team-mate
    4. 2nd Achievement- "Savior" Save 20 team-mates from a jail cell.

    Cons:
    1. Time Wasted
    2. Gil is lost for a bail.
    3. NM jailor must be fought everytime when saving team mates.

    Sorry man, decent idea, but making someone sit in a cell, even if for 30 minutes, is not my idea of fun.

    Make it a NPC and I'm all in.

    I am sorry. :C I am trying.

    Maybe there could be cages every so often with a jailor next to it. It shouldn't be a long wait. More like 2-5 minutes.

    It's so people can learn to play efficiently like most people want. And to be challenging, with a moderate penalty.

    I can see where this could work if it was something a-la Left 4 Dead, where jail cells appeared frequently, so you wouldn't have long to wait before you were rescued (2-3 minutes max).

    That'd actually be pretty cool.

    I think this would work better in an instance than in an open world area.

    The NPC would have to be a purely rewarding task. Where as the Player that is jailed is supposed to be a punishment for not being ready.

    NPC jailed reward-
    1. Time Extension- How could it work, possibly more npcs are jailed and need to be freed. So you are given extra time to find them.

    2. Gil Reward/Item reward- Random reward where the jailed npc offers you either gil or an item such as a potion.

    3. OOhhhhhhh just though of this. By helping an Jailed NPC, they could help out by making a trap for the boss NMs in the stronghold. When engaged the boss has a minute paralyze, or amnesia effect.

    Interesting idea you have. It just needs to be tweaked a little bit....

    Ideas:

    Sylph stronghold is some giant tree structure and it is being invaded by either the empire or another beastmen tribe. Special doors are locked to advance to the next level of the structure and can only be opened by a sylph. You have to find a sylph that is either jailed up somehow or cornered by its attackers and use them to open the doors for you. Some doors will require multiple sylph to open.

    Ohhh I like that. They should be attacked periodically by the Garleans as you travel with them to open doors to make it more Challenging.
