Who: Greetings! I am your host, Narwhal Bacon. You are cordially invited to our newest, most exciting server-wide event on Figaro! This is an open invitation so let your friends know! Friends are invited, whether or not they are in your linkshell. The more the merrier! The last two events were fantastic turn outs and tons of fun the last time around so we're expecting lots of new members! Make sure to check in with me if you or your linkshell is participating! I will make changes to this list.

( Skepticism: NO, this is not an event to recruit new players, nor is it an attempt to find the best players. Those rumors can stop now. This is merely an attempt to bring the community together so that members can get to know each other better, help out some new players a bit and MOST importantly, have fun. It is truly a bonding experience, so take advantage of hanging out with people you normally play with. Tbh, if your linkshell actually thinks that there is a big conspiracy behind this event, LOL. Please tell them to pull their head out of their asses. )

What: The mission will be to travel throughout The Black Shroud to capture the following nodes:
  • Camp Bentbranch
  • Five Hangs (node)
  • Humblehearth (node)
  • Sorrel Haven (node)
  • Camp Tranquil (Silent Arbor)
  • Snakemolt (node)
  • Longroot (node)
  • Camp Brittlebark
  • Singing Shards (node)
  • Camp Revenant's Toll
  • Fogfens (node)

It will be a dangerous one as it also involves areas where mobs are R60~99. This will definitely be a ton of fun!

When: Saturday 11:00am (PDT), September 24th, 2011 (We will take group pictures before leaving, by 11:30am)

Where: We will meet in Ul'dah (5,4) in between the Pugilist guild and the Pimelle NPC.

Additional Info:
  1. Be there on time. It will take awhile to work out the healers for each group.
  2. Minimum rank: No rank requirement, but please bring your highest rank. If you do not have a R22 Archer (For the skill 'Quickstride'), please let me know at least a couple days in advance.
  3. Equip raise/resurrect/raise 2/rebirth
  4. Equip all cures/sacrifice
  5. Equip Chainspell, Stoneskin 1&2, Sentinel, Featherfoot 1&2, Foresight 1&2, Defender 1&2, Aegis Boon 1&2, Deflection.
  6. Equip 'Quickstride' (R22 Archer skills). If you do not have this, please let me know ASAP so I can arrange something for you.
  7. Send Narwhal Bacon a /tell when you are online to coordinate early.

REQUIREMENT: You must have mumble. What is it, you ask? MUMBLE is an open source voice communication application that features a customizable in game overlay, application skins, conversation recording, and advanced voice activity detection that works in sync with FFXIV. (Although it would be nice, you are not required to have a mic. But it is crucial that you must be able to listen should we give instructions, announce when to set home points, when NOT to set homepoints, which tank sets off sentinel first, when we need to use quickstride, when to run away, when to teleport, announcements when people die, etc.)

Coordinating through numerous parties via shouts are not effective when you're running for your life. There will be very little time to type on this exciting run throughout Eorzea. Make sure you are on mumble voice chat before starting the game.
