Way is it always Aether?

Why can't you guys get this one data center straight!?! I can connect to any of the other data centers but Aether regularly give me lobby errors, connection issues, kicks me out of the game.

Because the two most populated servers are on the same server and apparently they didn't think about splitting it. That is why. And they knew about it and just haven't done shit about it sadly.. Once again I say.. Put your head between your legs kiss your buns goodbye or wait it out.. SE doesn't seem to care.. I've spent three days now without being able to log in. So much for early access.

Pretty much this. I don't think they can even move one of them now without breaking something. Would be nice though and it would really help with the congestion and errors.

Because all the redditors decided to join the same DC as the RPers, thus causing the 2 most populated servers (who frequently have a max number of live connections active) to exist on the same DC, thus dragging all the other servers down with them as they continue to flood the market with bodies.

To alleviate this issue that the playerbase created, Gilgamesh and Balmung would have to be 100% closed off to all new creations and inbound server transfers, while SE allows free outbound server transfers to the 5 least populated servers. Another solution would be to move either Gilagmesh or Balmung's entire population to the Primal DC, freeing up resources in Aether.

I'm on Zelara here (formerly Balmung but moved due to sorry state of housing), and can't log in either. It's pretty bad.

What they need to do is create a server which is -actually- considered the RP server, not just unofficially, and let people freely move there from all servers as well as free outbound server transfers to from any top 5 server to -any- server other than the top 5. That would at least be a step in the right direction.

Seriously considering doing a Paypal refund on Heavensward. As a returning player who was willing to gie this game another try I am too disgusted to even want to try to login anymore.

Splitting Balmung and Gilgamesh up on data centers is probably the best fast solution. But moving one of them or the other to Primal or Chaos will only break that data center. They need to create a new data center and redistribute all the servers. The best solution would be to create a new world for Balmung and Gilgamesh and create an option for free companies to transfer to the new server, preserving all states of their free company and housing. When the FC moves, the players would be given the option to move server or stay. This option would only be for splitting up servers.

When those people decided to make unofficial RP and Reddit servers there were only two data centers: North America and Japan. They later split the servers into smaller server groups to help ease strain on the system. Not sure why they put Balmung and Gilgamesh in the same one when they did that, but they did.
