I have a quick question if anyone might know the answer?

In FFXIV 1.0 there was an NPC in Uldah who was basically a researcher of each of the races in Eorzea and kept note of their physical attributes and it was really interesting to read, i was wondering if there are NPCs like that in ARR and if there were any such NPCs around Heavensward areas that talked about the Au Ra.
