Sorry for necroing this, but I wanted to reply to it since I was looking through everything trying to find some help for this, and found this cryptic (though somewhat) helpful thing.

First, coordinates to do this quest are 5, 29 . (22, 29 instead puts you right smack above that big dome thing).

If the idea of coordinates aren't your thing, on the map, where it says "The Asulon", just north of it (a bit ways south of where, if you did it, you fought those bandits to get back Mountain Dew's stuff during that quest chain; locate Saint Mocianne's Arboretum's dungeon entrance, it's a bit southwest of that). What you're looking for is a log that connects two shallow cliffs. Get close to it and the game will pop up a dialogue informing you that you found what you're looking for. Yeah, a bit harder to explain this way, so here's a pic so you know where exactly we're talking about (or for anyone else who's trying to find this):
