well i have my original win7 disks with 32 and 64 bit versions.
If i try to install win64bit will i lose the system settings files, or is there an overwrite option, if i have to reinstall everything on my 3 drives, well i cant, id be out of a job.

You should be able to upgrade in-place. I've never tried it (Anyone who has built a gaming PC since January 2007 should have bought and installed the 64-bit version of Windows.)
