    I think that they can still stop people from going to multiple nodes within the same time frame by maintaining the 55min ET window, but stretching it once you actually open the node to give another minute or two. That will allow people to take a little more time figuring out the whole collectibles thing (especially if they're expecting the time/area and go there beforehand), but they won't have time to travel between nodes in that 55min slot and activate the 2nd one in time. Really hoping they tweak this, I'm not a fast thinker even if I'm at the node before it spawns ~_~

    I have had some nodes fizzle out in as short as 45 minutes eorzea time. I've yet managed to collect collectible even once due the window popping out when I'm still figuring out how the system works. While I admit the shorter time frame is good for the purpose of limiting when you have to be on the node, please make it to not fizzle if it's already opened. That quick fizzle is making it unplayable and feels just a slap on the face.

    i always try to be to the zone early and be prepared. it does feel fast and probably shouldn't disappear if your window is open. i think the fact that some of these nodes are never close to a zone in place and that the maps are so large now makes it a bit of a race sometimes.

    if your endgame (or what was endgame) gathering then surely you know exactly what rotations you need to do to maximise yield as that has not changed.

    the only new mechanic to learn is collectables and that has been figured out now so if you don't know what to do search the forum get the answer.

    and really since nodes are 2 times an hour now you aren't really missing an opportunity to gather anything since you can grab one of each per hour just like before. or now choose to get more of a much needed mat.

    the only real difference is you have les time on node to gather but since it only ever took 30secs anyway I don't see a problem.

    My only complaint is I have a couple of instances where I got there right when it popped, and knew what I was doing. And I had three hits, I hit it twice, and it vanished. It was 20 game minutes in, so I should of had at least 30 game mins to spare. I'm sitting there trying to imagine what happened, because there is still people showing up and mining, but I somehow got cheated out of a hit. So I'm wondering if it sometimes has a glitch where you have a lot less time then your suppose to have. I do wish that they would extend how long they stay up. So that you can go do multiple ones and get a lot more work done.

    The old gathering was just some quick buffs and then gather. The current collectible rotations take a bit more time due to the animation times of each action. On top of that it asks for your confirmation each time you collect.


    Nodes being twice per hour now is a fallacy I have seen used a few times now. Altho nodes do appear twice per hour, they also give less then ARR 1* nodes. 15 Max vs 25 max. So if you collect only 1 node per hour you will harvest about 40% less then you would from an ARR 1* node.

    Another thing is that spawning twice per hour while still giving roughly the same amount of items mean you will spend a lot more time to actually gather the same amount of items.
    In addition to also decreasing the amount of other items you can harvest due to:
    a) overlapping node spawntimes.
    b) losing a lot of time each harvest due to huge travelling time. (many of the best nodes are on the other side of the zone)



    Gathering took some pretty harsh nerfs in HW:
    -Same amount of items harvested, but requiring you to harvest twice instead of just once.
    -Nodes only up for 50~ EZ minutes.
    -Nearly all nodes/items spawn at the same times, meaning you can only harvest about 2~ per EZ hour. (4 if you choose to harvest only half the normal amount)
    -Long travel time, which combined with twice the spawn times also means more time spend per full harvest (2x per EZ).
    -Collectible items after the first requiring harsh perception amounts, making them pointless (as you cant obtain them without heavy melding)
    -Many base raw materials behind gated behind ''hidden'', effectively reducing the gathering rate of those items to about 35-40% of other items.


    I'm not sure what the point behind all the limitations are.


    Fun note:
    -Flying to either of the Hinterlands nodes, or the Sea of Clouds takes more time then the node will be up for.

    I don't have issues with the spawn times, I like that challenge to the end game and how you do have to plan. What has been most frustrating for me is how the node will vanish when you still have moves and were just about to try and collect.

    It would be nice that if you get to the node in time you won't see it vanish once you have accessed it to collect. I've been seeing lag when trying to gather at nodes when everyone rushes in and it makes the entire process 100x more frustrating and less fun. I still have moves but the node vanishes. It takes time to get to the 450 assessment and you have to wait on the assessment to go through before you can do your next skill. Sometimes when there is lag I'm seeing delays and then the node is gone.

    I too find the nodes despawn far too quickly when I am trying to figure out the best way to gather them. I feel like I basically have to camp each one and that doesn't make it very fun.

    At the very least some longer window ones earlier on so that I had time to experiment with the collection system would help. As it was I felt like if I misclicked I just wasted an entire window while I was still learning.

    I want to chime in also to the Dev Team:

    * Yoshi P, please reconsider expanding the Window of Time for Gathering from the Unspoiled Nodes. Especially in light of players learning about Collectibles and what actions to use.

    As someone (and ALL players will be this way at first) who has to learn about Collectibles and how to use the actions correctly, etc., I've "lost" multiple Unspoiled Nodes (they fade out and disappear) just looking over the Tooltip options and trying to figure out which actions to use and getting used to the UI and figure out the actions.

    It's very confusing and frustrating from a new user perspective and the Unspoiled Node (considering long Travel Time from teleport onto the map and traveling over to it), makes trying to gather from Unspoiled Nodes a disappointing, rushed experience.

    Please change this.
