(I Can Haz) Security Token App?

Any chance we could get our security tokens in mobile app form? I fear that this little dongle of mine will end up lost some day.

Agreed on the fear of losing the security dongle. As it stands, the dongle does not leave the monitor that is running the game.

I have to say that I've been surprised at how well I kept up with my security key so far. I'm actually still using the one I bought for FFXI when they first came out. I have the one specific for this game as well, for whenever the first one runs out. At this rate, that might be never. Tip for players: I wrote down two of the numbers on an index card where I keep other passwords as a catch for if the thing dies suddenly. Why 2? One to let me log in, because that's likely when I'm going to discover the malfunction. The other to use to sign in with to disable its use.

As for the app, I have somewhat mixed feelings on that. I used it for Rift and loved that it was free. However, when I had trouble with an update for my phone where the apps didn't get reinstalled, I had a couple days there where I couldn't log in.

Maybe offer both?

Hmm, ya didn't think of that scenario. The more options the better is always best.
