How do I fly and where can I find my compass?

theres 2 main story quests after entering ishgard for sea of clouds and western coethas after u finish both of those the quest should appear in fortemps mansion :3

I finished the quest. I am missing something here. I attuned to the air current, but still can't fly. I don't see icons or anything that says I can.

You must find all currents on the map. Also you get some from quests and dungeons as well.

This. Due to the currents hidden behind quests, you will not be able to fly in any zone until you are done in said zone. That means you will have to complete each zone on foot before you can fly there.

You can see how many Aether you need by going to the Travel log, at the bottom right hand side of the screen.

It'll show you in green how many you need to find via exploring anddddddddd Orange for quests that you need to find that have Aether.

Compass is in your quest item inventory. You can drag it to hotbar for quick use and also the current list (from action menu).

theres 5 currents found through quests.. what i do when 1st enter is explore the whole map finding all the possible currents with compass 1st then quest XD

But is there a specific quest to make your Black Chocobo fly?
What about your companion chocobo? Will it fly or need to be dismissed every time?
And...and...and.... did I see a player overhead flying on a dragon? Or was my graphics card deceiving me? If so, is it a quest? (Please say yes)

is a quest in ishgard from the chocobo keper named i believe i can fly do that and your chocobo can fly and some other mounts in areas you have unlocked it
