Steps:

Unlocked the sightseeing log of ARR by the quest when it was released long time ago.
Never did any log.
Unlocked the Heavensward sightseeing log 2 days ago.
Today I looked into the log and decided to do some for the first time, but I realised I only had 2 pages of the log, the ones from the Heavensward log, the other disappeared.

So I think the ARR log disappears when a player unlocks Heavensward log without doing any log before, just like me.
