FFXIV musical score seems familiar.

Has anyone noticed the music in Heavensward sounds familiar? I was in the churning mists yesterday and couldn't help be reminded of the great crater decent from FF7 the music was very similar in style. I also noticed the battle music too is similar to the scene in FF9 were Queen Brahn's boat the bismark gets destroyed by bahamute. I also noticed the grand company in Gradinia has music similar to that in Juno in FF7. Then while fighting Ravana last night i was reminded of the final fight in FF7 but also FF8.

Glad I'm not the only one! I was saying in my FC chat the other day that some of the music reminds me of FFVII. (Not that it is a bad thing, I loved the OST to VII.) I'll have to play VIII again and see if I notice similarities there too, not played that one since I was a kid. xD

Yes it's certainly a good thing!i love the nostalgia it brings. 1997, hard to believe its nearly 20 years since FF7 was released.
