TY! There is Hardly Any Character Involvement! A Set Rotation And Just Stand Back And Do Your Rotation Maybe Throwing An Occasional CD Extra In....Lame Ass Fighting

I'm not saying these features wouldn't be nice. But to tell us to stop talking about the actual gameplay aspects to focous on little action stunts to pull in more people, in my view, is absurd.Character movement has is nothing but gameplay change i didnt say i wanted pink ribbons in my hair i want to dodge during battle jump backwards jump to the side dodge etc list goes on with character actions they could use for battle intergration....and why wouldnt you want that? its limiting to not impliment it....you wont be able to keep up with mmo's 5 years from now...itll never succeed without some pizzazz in fighting standing still casting heals or bored ass autoattack to build tp just to press 1 button = slow and boring all i wanna do is have more character movement in battle. THIS GAME NEEDS IT FANBOYS just take 1 step back and say wait that would be interested if i could side jump away from the lazer batraal uses instead of having to run. and alot of time you wont have time to move in battle....why cant i run and shoot a bow or run and cast same time in a fantasy game? cause it was made bad. we need a new battle system physic system and movement system in play at all times in this game gonna be dumb when your chocobo gets stuck on a pebble....FFXI all over again

Pikachu, I couldnt even read your whole post because of how Every Word Was Capitalized, but thats not the kind of engine the game has, you know this.

pretty sad when FF Mystic Quest Had More Action....

And yet not so surprising that a game that had been out for almost a decade knew who it was, who played it, and how to build on itself. I take it you were too young at the time to see FFXI in its identity crisis phases?
Companies have their strengths and weaknesses - some games are strong at the start and get old quickly, SE's games are ass backwards, convoluted, barren, and imbalanced at first and turn into a legend that refuses to die even when the sequel is out.

I personally play FF games because I EFFING HATE DODGING. The worst I've ever seen though is mmos where mages have to dodge constantly. Dodging big fireballs is understandable, rolling around while trying to cure is ridiculous. You can already avoid attacks by moving in this game (gnat lightning crap he does after teleporting), and that could be expanded on. They said jump will not really help and will be used to cancel actions. I really don't see this becoming a dodge kinda game. FF rpgs are about decisions in skill and not decisions in movement, I just don't see why they would deviate from core philosophies of games in main title numbers. FF Versus or w/e will be more kingdom hearts dodge and jump, which makes sense its an FF game but it also more of a spin off then a main title so they do something new with it, (like psp FF games and such). As far as an mmo they should go for what most people remember FF being and the mmo should epitomize that, FFXI did a good job of amalgamating and epitomizing some of the older concepts of the FF rpgs, but FFXIV hasn't even tried to capture the allure of some of the latter in the series (X, X-2, XII, these had some great concepts), if they can't even do that, I don't see people getting some great physical dodge system. Wait for a Versus mmo or kingdom hearts lol
Sorry, but they do have jumping in the air weapon skills..... Sorry fail thread is fail.
