I think lack of content?
Which is something it shares with FFXIV.
They are releasing it in the west with the first expansion so it probably will fare better in the "west"
Main criticism of Tera is that there isn't much to do besides combat, and combat isn't as diverse as people have hoped. In this regard, it really is quite similar to XIV.
GuildWars 2 and Blade&Soul are the next MMOs to use active combat, since TOR decided to play it safe and more or less copy WoWs/EQs combat design.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooow this is the best troll thread I've seen yet. How witty of you to say you want to play the game but you like nothing about it. At least be a decent troll like User123456789. They actually make valid points. Sometimes. The game your looking for is a complete different genre. You are banished from FFXIV be gone bridge dweller.

I don't have time to read the other 179 replies (at time of posting) but:
What OP is suggesting would mean a 100% revision of the combat gameplay in all aspects. It would have to be entirely re-coded from the ground up in order to be an action game. Personally while I'm a fan of faster-paced action games, that's not why I started playing this game. If I wanted that I'd just go play Vindictus or any of the dozens upon dozens of console action games.
While I'm not saying the suggestion is bad, it's not a viable one for this game.

::waves hand:: This is not the game you are looking for...

How is it that people act like this is the only game in the world and somehow has to cater to every player of any given genre?
If you don't like this game for what it is, then move on. Go play something else. There are plenty of games out there. Something will satisfy you. If it isn't this game, that's fine. Stop badgering the devs for catering to the people who actually like it and the direction in which it's heading.
Stop asking stupid things to be shoe-horned into a game clearly not meant to have it. Just load the character select screen, choose delete, then go to http://www.square-enix.com/na/account/ and delete that too.
Because of WoW and other games.......Squeeky wheel mentallity. If a small group out post the opposition on there feed back pages IE. Forums, they tend to gravitate toward what they are asking. As they gravitate more and more in that direction, that gravity builds until it becomes the black hole that they have made some of the threads here.
They dumb things down to accomodate the greasing of the squeeky wheel, until things in game are.........well.........dumb.
I mean look at EQ II. You don't even have the abilitiy to physically go in and add to stat points anymore.........IMHO, once you lose the ability to dynamically design your character, its over. Once those squeeky wheels demand easy mode to the point that a game designer makes all stats standard set based on class choice its over.

I think it comes from how the devs listened to the community in the past and changed the game to what most players wanted. Not all MMO's do that, but because this one did some people get the idea that they'll keep doing it to suit everyone's palette.
They should just leave Yoshi and his team to do what they think is right and see how it comes out. With the way things have been progressing since the revamp started it's defenitely improving, it's just going to take time till everything is running at full speed.

Agreed. At this point the only input they should really be looking for from us is how things they've implemented are working. We should give feedback, not demand things be changed to suit our desires. And when giving that feedback we should not feel like the devs are obligated to listen to each and every bit of it and fix it as we suggest. Listening is good, but suggestions should be taken with a grain of salt. Communication is good but here no matter what they say (or don't say) people always complain.I think it comes from how the devs listened to the community in the past and changed the game to what most players wanted. well...some things we should demand for, like a not crap party search system or like the big demand to change the entire world...mainly because everyone agrees it pretty much sucks. But for this persons case....thats just not gonna happen.Agreed. At this point the only input they should really be looking for from us is how things they've implemented are working.
