This isn't an Action based game, This is a Fantasy Strategy ( some action) game not all games ARE the same.. nor I want them to be. Thats why I loved FFXI because it wasn't all revolved around Action, had more to it.Funny how many people focus on grammar when he has a point, just saying it the wrong way.
With all the MMO's soon to release in the next year, they are slowly moving to an action based gameplay without auto-attack. Yeah, auto-attack isn't bad right now.. but when those other games release... /sigh
And about his/her Grammar. Its not that He/she was using things incorrectly thats not what people are rawring about.. its the fact that she/he Deliberately put a capitial letter on every first letter of EVERY word, You have to be actually thinking to do that. not to mention her posts after the OP was Kinda Normal. Thats why

Gath!
I agree completely. I don't know why the OP does that. Also the blatant misuse and rape of capital letters seems to be selective on the part of the OP and not a universal failing. You'll notice they've done it consistently in the first post but only selectively in replies. Very odd indeed.
On a side note, I see your gil is still trading for more than the regular gil. Nice to see.

Who are all these people who feel the need to be jumping and bouncing in an RPG? How did they even get to start playing this game in the first place and have they ever even played an RPG before? Do they know this is Final Fantasy and not Devil May Cry? Have they played Devil May Cry? Maybe they should...
These people are the ones that got bored of said games and wanted to ruin a perfectly good genre with what they got bored of.
He has no point. Not every single game on the planet needs to be action based. The only reason people move action based is because they see that x MMO is therefore they copy it. It's been happening since the 80s in gaming. It's nothing new. The main difference is gamers are spoiled and fickle generally. We can't deny that when Mario made his appearance we seen quite a few copycat platformers that took their own spin and evolved overtime into their own thing.Funny how many people focus on grammar when he has a point, just saying it the wrong way.

Point or not, poor grammar detracts from otherwise perfectly valid points and arguments in the most severe of ways. I agree with many of the posters throughout this thread that invite the OP to play a different game. What he/she seeks is not an improvement in the quality of the game in the sense that adding a proper and fulsome transportation system is, generally speaking, an improvement.
They are seeking a fundamental change in the style of the game to one which, in their opinion, is more enjoyable. In my humble opinion the OP confounds a change that constitutes an 'improvement' (the general betterment of the game), with a change that is merely a 'personal preference' in terms of the game's style. Such a change, in my opinion, would not improve the game. It would merely shift the chorus of detractors to a different note.
In that regard, as was said a few times previous, perhaps a game more suited to your preference of style would be the logical course of action.

Personally I'd prefer FFXIV to continue more down the strategic mmorpg route like it seems to be doing. If I wanted to play an action mmo I'd go play an action mmo like Tera. While I'm not 100% satisfied with the current system, this is more to do with wanting more class uniqueness and definement (which should be coming in 1.20?).
Also what did the English language ever do to you? It's in pain so either please stop or put it out of its misery.

Jennestia has no point.....fact of the matter is this game needs more flare more action and more player control of the avatar especially in battle and smoother battling on top of that like the dodge running while casting and all the other great forms of fighting plenty of other mmo games are diving into

What's the point if stats don't matter, or nothing to work for like end-game at the moment?Jennestia has no point.....fact of the matter is this game needs more flare more action and more player control of the avatar especially in battle and smoother battling on top of that like the dodge running while casting and all the other great forms of fighting plenty of other mmo games are diving into
Yay I have move that makes me look like Yoda, and I still do crap damage.

Maybe the game does need a bit more flair, but jumping, running whilst casting, keen positioning and dynamic enemies that make you re-evaluate your strategy (e.g. running away when hedgemoles burrow or turning away from a gaze attack) are all things this game has or will have. Doing ridiculous spins and flips and somersaults is absurd and adds nothing beneficial, but simply creates way more problems such as over-convolution of the battle system, adding more button presses and increasing animation and server lag. Quite frankly, this thread needs to die. Even though I am not in favor of putting this ahead of anything else if and when they do add jump I hope its in this form instead of freeform jumping, that is all.
