Kinda hard to die with your chocobo out, healing.
"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."
Monster damage is fine, monster HP on the other hand, too much.
Edit:
To elaborate further, I feel the enemies would be balanced if they had lower hp. In the open world questing, an enemy should either be high damage and low hp to keep it balanced or have lower damage but higher hp and defenses.

I think they have hit a perfect balance with the mobs. When I see a lone mob, I know I won't have any trouble. But when I see others wandering nearby, or if I see a group, then I'm more inclined to sneak around them or avoid them entirely. It's nice actually having to show discretion when fighting in the overworld again, and especially in Temple Leves, as some pit you against groups of enemies unless you're careful about how you fight them.
I've only died once, you've just gotta be familiar with the enemy's aggro range (how close can you get to their front without them noticing), and pick your battles wisely.
It also helps to have a chocobo/titan egi out.
I haven't died yet in the open world. You just have to be careful. Its much more interesting now, and I'm enjoying it.
Please stop asking for things to be made easier. It just leads to a more boring game experience![]()
I died within 10 mins of entering sea of clouds as i130 DRK. Was trying to get to the MSQ there when I saw a fate and started it. Mobs were lvl 47 so I just fought them on the spot, aggrod 2 and accidentally aggrod one of those bat cats. I was fighting in no tank stance and suddenly got slept and hit with 2 aoes and was left in dire straits. Decided to run for it but saw a ninja running for my mobs instead of grabbing his own and I decided to stop to let him hit the mobs, which was dumb on my part cause it didn't help me survive at all. Embarassing and awesome at the same time.
Are you sure its not just your gear score? I'm pretty sure most enemies hit harder before we loaded ourselves up in i90+ gear pre-Heavensward. :P
I team up with random players that appear to be running along the same MSQ path as me. We have a blast every time, then we get to those "solo" instanced parts of the MSQ.
Yes, there are weapons *and* Armor Vendors, accessories also. All i115. I imagine this gear exists for players to get themselves up to scratch before venturing out into the Ishgardian zones.
