    Quest Mobs: Heavensward

    I noticed that the quest mobs hit extremely harder than normal. I dont expect things to be easy, but I dont expect them to hit me so hard. Even my tank friend gets hit like a truck at ilvl 128 by lvl 50-52 mobs. Basically we are both being hit for 400-600 damage per hit from mobs. is this intended?

    The mods did say that fighting more than one enemy would for sure mean you need cooldowns just to survive, or to run. So yes it is intended. That said so far I've been able to beat enemies atleast one on one (granted though, I am ilvl 130.)

    I don't think I should be getting hit for 400-600 or 700 depending on a mob, I pop cooldowns and yeah it still hits me for 400-600 Dmg I'm a tank I shouldn't be getting hit for that much I can't say anything but I would like to make this Game fun for all

    Chocobo helps a lot, Choco Cure crits for almost 2k at lvl 53.

    I've also noticed that the mobs are pretty tough. It's a refreshing change of pace, as it keeps me on my toes on my DRG. Unless you are a healer class, you need to fight carefully and efficiently, making sure to utilize defensive cooldowns. I'm glad Yoshida kept his word on this.

    P.S. Also, the amazing new battle theme should pump you up enough to beat any mob lol

    ok but what about non healers? i play a summoner and my titan cant keep aggro keep aggro on everything. healers can at least heal the damage. i heal for a craptastic amount (350) at ilvl 115 and im being hit for more than i can heal for. i have to heal myself literally 20 times just to survive.

    those are crits. but my friend's choco heals him (tank) for about 900 something. and mine is a tank (started as whm). my sustain on titan can keep him alive for a while. but if i do by chance get everything to aggro onto him (sustain heals him currently for 800 per tick even tho its supposed to heal for 10%. titan has 10k hp) sustain doesnt heal him well enough if i am forced to fight 3-5 mobs at once (quest targets) and still hitting him for a lot and when i try to sustain/heal him...im not getting much done because of the amount of damage they do. when i had to fight a duty target, the boss wouldnt aggro onto my titan. i was being hit for 500 points. and alphinaud just wasnt healing me and trying to heal for my crappy 350 wasnt working as well. i died the first time i did this quest because i couldnt heal enough. and the second time i did it...i had to run around at 10hp til i was able to swiftcast a physick or til he tried to cast an aoe so i could heal a little before i died.

    I don't think they hit that hard though I guess if you are going into Heavensward with ilvl 110 they probably hurt. They have a lot more HP too than previous mobs so take a while to kill. That said I think most DPS should manage to kill a mob long before it kills them.

    My main issue with quest mobs is there just isn't enough to go around lol. You get to an area and there is one mob per 20 people so everyone is fighting over mobs. I start killing one and two others muscle in on it. Fluid aura has become a useful tool for moving a mob out of range of ground AoE's and melee DPS so they don't take my kill XD.

    dude....youre a healer. you can just throw regen on you and get healed for all their damage and switch to cleric stance. i have to actually run around to keep from dying because i dont heal enough....or use every single ability in my arsenal to kill one target. summoner may have gotten a buff but only with high spell speed.

    Can't use them in the instanced duty quests.

    What I want to know is how the bloody hell they expect *everyone* to do these? I'm taking quite a beating on my AST, and I have a friend that plays DRG(who's currently raging at yet another instanced fight I can't help with) who's so bad at the game he's rage quit three different MMOs because he couldn't get help with the tough parts.

    This is seriously pissing me off.
