    Belah'dian

Is there any place to get good lore about Belah'dian? Outside of reading every quest (and watching any videos) involving them, since I'm trying to rp my char with knowledge about them and google isn't providing much about it at all. The more important part though, is the time of its founding and the time of its fall.

It's Belah'dia, actually. Belah'dian would describe someone from the city.

And no, our information on Belah'dia is sadly limited. We know it was founded by mages who survived the Sixth Umbral and the close of the War of the Magi, and we know that both Ul'dah and Sil'dih were founded by twin sons of one of Belah'dia's sultans, when they both wanted to rule. Beyond that, we know little, beyond the fact that it was founded and ruled by Dunesfolk Lalafell (the names in Qarn tell us this much).

In relation to Quarn we know that the temple it's self predates Belah'dia and that the Belah'dians repurposed it. But who it was that actually built it no one had any idea, even the npcs are clueless.

Information on Belah'dia and Proto-Belah'dia from the war though os scarce to non-existant as of yet though.

If the Waring triads become a thing I hope we geg more insight to The War of the Magi beyond the "Allagains" and "Ascians" meme that float around

so basicly, until further information comes around, rp about Bela'hia is up to our discression as long as it sounds plausable.

If you want to form Belah'dian headcanon, I'd warn against getting specific unless you're perfectly fine uprooting it when more information comes out.
    If not, be vague.

Every time a discussion comes even remotely into Belah'dian territory, be it in game, in these forums, or in an interview, the subject is gently nudged away from it. What you can summarize is that it's a Sixth Astral Era predecessor of Ul'dah and Sil'dih, it was likely formed by the surviving black mages of the Fifth Astral Era that we don't know much about, they built on top of existing ruins at Qarn, and Square Enix intends to fill in some of these blanks, someday. More likely than not, the new information will focus on the black mage city of the War of the Magi, but it may end up contradicting something you've invented in your fanon.

I know that's why I finally had to give up mu Sil'dih/Amdapoor RP. The more that eas revealed about the two the more it controdicted my RP until I finally just re-wrote it and ultimatly kinda gave up at RP when my 1st FC broke up.

Didn't see it mentioned but the Belah'dians seemed to (or at least 1 did) be named like Egyptian Pharaohs. Lalafuto IIII being the last known Sultan of Belah'dia I believe, don't quote me on that. Either way he reigned around the time that Limsa Lominsa was founded.

I have a feeling that the proto Belaj'dia group was named in the BLM quest just recently. Mihashi or something similar. I may need to go back. the WHM for 50+ seemed keenly earnest on mentioning Nym, Amdapori and the third one.

Okay then. that's what I'll do. I'll tell you a story. Can you hear them? All these people who lived in terror of you and your judgement. All these people who's ancestors devoted themselves to you, sacrificed themselves to you. Can you hear them singing?

I suspect you're right. The initial Astrologian quest also made mention of all three; Nym, Amdapor, and Mihashi. Specifically with regards with messing with aether (magic) causing calamity "Lest you forget what happened to the Nymians, Amdapori, and Mihashi", or something like that. Suggests to me that these were the three combatants in the War of the Magi.

Wonder if we'll see any Mihashi ruins/dungeons in the future...
