Inconsiderate Aetheryte AFkers

The only justification that I can think of is that I've had to wait an hour and thirty minutes before for my duty finder to pop. During that time I just had my chara sit there and did some housework because there wasn't anything else I wanted to do ingame at the time.

Well I always thought there should be a reminder in chat that you will be logged out in X amount of time if you do not like move from the zone or something if you have been stationary for like 30 mins or more, or you have to kill something of the like, nothing like a screen prompt or anything that could be botted/automated.

Thats not hte same. Aetheryte AFKers are those who go afk for hours so that they don't have to be kicked off when they go to bed.

People did it on WoW too, and AFKers will get "ANGRY" if yuo interfere with their right to AFK.

I want them to come on here and attempt to justify themselves so we can all ridicule them.

This issue was the same way when the game was first launched this will be nothing new when a new expansion launched they were not expecting to have this much of a early access happen to cause this congestion

Having read through this thread I agree with your point. They should not be abusing this. But your attitude with this argument is not coming across as constructive, perhaps pitch some idea of how to stop this? Instead of asking people to be ridiculed...

Also, what proof do you have that this is happening, are you watching these people for more than 30 mins? How do you know they are not in menus? Or that they are not moving when you are not looking?

If your log in time is that precious, spend it playing the game, not watching people be AFK...

I am a member of the cult of the Aetheryte. Consider the following:

* The problem is not, right now, world congestion per se. It is lobby server congestion.
* Once I am logged in, I'm no longer hitting the lobby server. Ergo, I am avoiding contributing further to congestion.
* If I log out and then log back in when I get home (at peak hours), I would actually be making the lobby/login server problem worse.
* At the end of the (working) day... I have only a few hours to play, and I don't want to spend most of that time fighting with errors. Yeah, it's selfish, but I pay my share ~.^

most people are ignorant to the fact that there are servers that handle the log in process, and then there are servers that host the game. whenever someone gets that amazing 2002 error, its the log in servers getting slammed/having issues, not the game servers themselves.
