Inconsiderate Aetheryte AFkers

I just wanted to say that it is inconsiderate of people AFKing for hours at Aetheryte crystals because it prevents them from being logged off after 30 minutes, causing more congestion than needed. If you look at the main Aetherytes in Mor Dhona, and Foundation, you see tons of people AFKing for hours at those Aetherytes, meanwhile others who want to play have trouble logging in. I hope you fix this problem SE.

If there was a guarantee that you'd be able to log back in and play after afking for a couple hours to go eat dinner or something, I'm sure it wouldnt be a problem. But since we're dealing with the same exact issues we were dealing with on initial launch I dont think many people care at this point.

Just gonna throw this out there. In older games this sort of behavior would get people very poor reputations very fast. The scumbags would have a lot of trouble finding teams, guilds, and friends due to the dim view their servers took of them eventually. Now that this most assuredly unrelated anecdote is out of the way... yeah. Scummy move on their part to further compound the problems we're facing because of their selfishness.

Why doesn't this game have an auto kick for afk? EVERY other MMO that has a spit of popularity to it, as one, some a bit too fast, others a reasonable timeframe, but at least something to kick off afkers, and more likely, the atrocious amount of spam bots that are ruining the enjoyment of the game for most of us.

Implement a bloody 30 minute afk kick off policy, at the least.

And to the AFKers clogging up the servers... log off and save electricity, and your comp some wear and tear. Not even a ding dong tree hippie here and I'm hollering this at yah all. Jeeze almighty. =><= If you're not playing, you're not playing. Give it up, ego morons.

It wouldnt matter. You still wouldnt be able to log in. The problem right now is with their code/ques/etc etc.

Even with the considerable amount of people online the game is designed to put you in a que to wait until there are enough people OFF the game. But you cant even get that far. So at the point that you're at, its not the afkers in your way. It's SE's inability to handle their own games popularity.

Hate to say that Trion did anything right with ArcheAge, but for several weeks after launch they were doing rolling server reboots just to kick afkers who had found ways to abuse the afk-kick. If a lot of people are abusing the Aetherytes, it's probably time for the occasional 15 minute reboot

Because we had it and ppl complain enough that now we dont have it.

Well, Square should not care if they complain about AFK timers, Thats one thing that should be implimented no matter how many people bitch and whine, because this is why.

I find it odd that there is a work around to not get booted when you go afk. I think you should get booted no matter what after 20 minutes. 20 minutes is a long time, and if someone needs to be away for longer than that, they need to be logged off.
