Why tease us about new Egis?

So I just started the new summoner quests, and right from the get go guess what they mention, you should be able to summon 3 new Egis. Well we all know that's not true, so why the tease, .

Anyway is anyone far into these quests do theh give a reason? Scratch that do they give a good reason for this tease.

I was thinking the same thing just when I was kicked out of the game. It's really cruel to tell us we can get new egis like Ramuh during the quest, when we know we don't get new one.

It maybe reserved for the Egi-glamour quest. If you actually finished the level 50 quest you'd see that you can't summon another Egi for some reason

I did finish the quest. The tease was just annoying. I hope, I HOPE, Square was hiding a few juicy tisbita about each job, that they didnt want to spoil.

Allow me to give you some sound advice, never ever ever ever get your hopes up for such "easter egg" things.

Remain cynical at all times. Does this mean don't accept the possibility of things going right? Hell no, but don't get excited for something we all know is unlikely.

I know, I'll just be laying in my bed, in the fetal position, clutching my homemade Shiva-Egi doll; I'm a good Summoner, I'm a good Summoner, lol.

But yeah I could deal with them being DoT mages, I was just hoping they would make the pets more viable, and not situational, and have a little more focus, GUESS NOT, lol?

Right now on the surface it looks like SE ruined my jobs, Sch/Smn, Scholar mostly because it looks like they got jack for skills, but it's still early, I wont complain yet, maybe, I dunno, I'm only a Hyur.

I find it funny how the most ignorant tend to be the loudest people. Time and time again there's that vocal community that just talks shit over and over. Summoner in Heavensward went from a great job in the right hands, mostly just decent to the average player, to fucking phenomenal. First of all there are the stat changes (Spell Speed now affects DoT damage instead of being near worthless to SMN), then the Pet changes (All Pets now do elemental damage besides their auto attacks to benefit from the SS changes, in which SS now effects all pets; All Pets had it's base accuracy increased and now use rear accuracy instead of flank, meaning less Accuracy to stack and more damage stats; Ifrit Flaming Crush AOE had it's radius increased by a significant amount, and his Radiant Shield now extends to nearby party members i.g. if tank takes damage, enemy target takes additional damage), furthermore the pre 3.0 skills changes (Enkindle went from 5min cool down to 3min, Bane now has no target limit with the 4th mob and more getting the potency halved i.g. 10 mobs on a tank, 10 mobs get DoTs instead of the max 3), and Finally the amazing new skills (Painflare is an AOE attack at 200 potency that only requires an Aetherflow stack and on a 10 second cool down; Ruin III a new damage dealing attack that shines under Dreadwyrm Trance, Tri-Disaster places all 3 DoTs at the same time on a good cool down, Dreadwyrm Trance which increases damage by 10% and reduces Ruin III's mp cost to 50 meaning high as fucking damage spam, and DEATHFLARE a 400....I repeat ...400 potency nuke that also hits for AOE, so it's great single target or AOE, which is also one of Bahamut's awesome attacks in T13 called Ahk Morn).

Seriously, educate yourself before typing ignorant comments. For all the dumb itemization and mp bullshit we went through in Final Coil, SE blessed us hard. Those of us that pushed the job to it's limits will shine bright. Oh, btw, have you seen SMN LB3? Yeah, nuff said.

P.S. Thank god Yoshi-P decided to give us more skills to enhance our weakness and give us the flashiness we desired. I rather they work on modifying current pet skills even further or adding new skills. If new Egis are cosmetic changes, then that opens the door to a SHIT TON of pets we can re-skin with having 3 as Tank, Melee, Caster (Leviathan, Ramuh, Shiva, Revana, Bismark? Diabolos, Fenrir, Siren? Phoenix, Bahamut? Alexander? See the picture?) instead of listening to the bullshit people were suggesting here. For every 1 good suggestion, there were 100 bad ones.
