Thread: Semi-lazy in gear for 3.0?

So, 3.0 is great, the zones look nice and all that, but did anyone else notice a good majority of the newer gear are just recolored soldiery / lost city gear that everyone's getting now? Seems like most jobs get evenstar, shikaree and that one mage body from lost city, just recolored. Not to mention a good portion of weapons that were added all look the same. How many unique guns for mch until 60? About 3, your starting lvl 30 gun's model gets recycled around 5? times throughout 30-60.

I mean, I knew this would happen eventually with how fast they pumped out new fancy looking gear designs and then threw them out the next update, but I didn't think it'd happen this fast. I said it a year ago, but the same thing will eventually happen to dungeons with how fast they outdate the ones they just added, like all mmos, they'll eventually start running out of space for newer not recycled dungeons.

Also not to mention, 75% of Au ra female's emotes/weapon idle pose are exactly the same as miqo'te >_>

Edit: Evenstar is still a boner tail for Au ra >_> and even changes the shape of the tail to Miqo'te

Well it's SE, what can I say? They know how to reuse skins. This is just the tip of the iceberg. They can get...cheap at times if it means dishing something out sooner.

Every mmo reskins. Its nothing new.

Most of the emotes are different o.o I haven't found any that are the exact same, and the poses are completely different too. Im pretty sure the weapon poses are the same for all races.

The idle poses are different but not the weapon ones and I'd have to get back on to try the emotes again but theres quite a few that are the same

Weapon animations are the same across all races of that same class...

AST heals however are reused WHM casts with small changes(hand placement, recolored particle at the feet).

All I know is 3.0 gear really is awful looking.

I however ADORE HEALER'S POETIC ARMOR TOP.

Carbon fiber hoodie??!?!?!!?!! AND METAL!??!?!!? WITH GLOWING LIGHTS!?!???! I LOVE IT.

This current heavnsward gear I am seeing... so... boring....
