    Not quite. I would suggest dropping GB after you exhaust the last gauss round in the opener. Then putting it back up again when you have to reapply lead shot. The stance dance could only work if you have used lead shot (dot time still remains) & ricochet/gauss round are on CD.

    I would say this calculation suggests that you could drop GB after opener and not suffer DPS loss. However, this calculation assumes that your AA hit all the time, which in a real battle that might not be the case.

    Well, the gauss round adds another 36.86 dps every 2.5 seconds under the same conditions. That is if you split the potency per cast over the normal 2.5 second GCD. Basically, you lose dps if you miss casting a gauss round because of AA. Although, if you could get the benefit of gauss round + auto attack, you have added dps. All in theory of course

    - Opener
    - re-apply Lead Shot + Hot Shot
    - Whenever Ricochet and Gauss Round are up

    You could conceivable use it for an opener for GR and Rico, drop it and then recast it for the next GR you use. After that, however, you're stuck with GB for the next 15 seconds, basically making it so you could really only drop it every other round. But then you have to take ricochet into account as well.

    Like this: Opener with GB on (Buffs, Lead, Hot, GR and Rico)> 20 seconds without > GB back on for GR, keep it on for refreshing Lead, Hot and GR > drop it for 20 seconds > back on for GR and Rico then refresh Lead and Hot > 20 seconds to next GR > drop it for 20 > back on for GR> keep it on for next GR and Ricohet, repeat from there.

    Of course, you have to manage Reloads and QR in this as well. It just seems like it'd be really hectic for what amounts to a small overall gain. Might be fine on a test dummy but for a real fight with actual mechanics to avoid and the like, the micro-managing could actually make things worse.

    What sort of wildfires on opener are people hitting? max I hit out so far is 6.1k usually around 5.2-5.8k (no b4b)
