so you can reset a turrets autos manually by either

hypercharging (hypercharged attacks reset the timer, and then normal attacks after hypercharge wears off resets it as well)

or

summoning a new turret. the best way to gain dps is to do it 0.5s before it shoots (so that your current turret despawns right after it shoots), then triggering your new turret to attack mode asap. in gauss barrel you need to use an ability or weaponskill; outside of it, your auto attack mode will automatically trigger it. so gauss off+replacing turret is probably a match made in heaven. you could also just load up on a proc as well.

they're both pretty annoying if you want to consistently reset turret autos for a dps increase, but the latter is nice to know, that even repositioning your turret can be a dps increase if you do it right
