Best way to compare would be to have two MCH's one with a lot of SKS and another with none at all. Have them fire at the same time and see if one attacks fasterI wish the OP would come back to update their guide, but a couple things that should be mentioned.
Turret is effected by both Food and Pots (important for Hypercharge usage as the effect of the POT would be basically doubled)
Thoroughly tested the Skill Speed stat and the Turret is unaffected by it at all (through either attack speed or attack damage)
well, as thorough as I could, but I didn't see a difference adding 200 skill speed. so either there is no effect or it is so ridiculously low that you would need way too much SPD to notice.
I have a video for you guys showing my wildfires.

Wtf that samba? xD
Nice vid btw.
It's La Nova Alagria, from Cirque du Soileil's Delerium. I meant to link it in video description. oops.
Turrets not being affected by skill speed really sucks. Especially considering we have a ton of it on our gear. You'd think they'd get the same bonus as SMN pets, but I guess they're sticking to that "turrets aren't pets" philosophy. It's basically just another DoT, but doesn't get the benefits that DoTs get.
I hit an 8k Wildfire today on A4, without food or a pot, which was nice. Also lost two Wildfires by getting sucked in moments after using it. That was annoying.
Care to provide proof on the potions affecting turrets? I find this highly suspect.I wish the OP would come back to update their guide, but a couple things that should be mentioned.

use a potion, look at your turret
it should affect the dmg, but thats easy to test
So I believe I have been MCH wrong all this time. I didnt have B4B so I figured my low dps was due to that fact so I get it and still cant break 800.
Using 180 weapon and 1 piece 160 the rest is a mixture of 170 & 180 and 190 belt
This entire time my rotation was:
turret down
gb on
Hot shot
Lead shot
eye for eye
rapid fire
raging strikes
reload
wildfire
hypercharge
split
guass shot
slug
reassemble
clean
riccochet
head shot
split
quick reload
slug
clean
and if I can squeeze it in blank
so it was brought to my attn that I have enormous amount of downtime doing the CDs when I am. I guess that is where my dps is completely faltering? I have e4e b4b and rapid fire in a macro cause I am running out of space on hot bars.. can someone please help me with what I could macro together or what I should have on hotbars as priority and what I can lose? Right now I feel like I wasted time leveling this job. never knew the rotation was that important where if done wrong you could lose 200-400 dps
