I have a question. I'm finding this incredibly odd.

Before patch, at lvl 54, my Wildfire on my opener was hitting 2.4k. And now, it's hitting 1.4k on the opener.

LOL. Glad you found the reason. Also, look forward to that wildfire hitting at 5100+ at 60 ilvl 170+. I've seen it hit for 5500 before.. its pretty sick.

I've been getting 5.5k's at like i16x, so it can get preeetty high if you do it right.

Well its a pretty rare occasion when mine hit that hard. Hover between 5100-5200 most of the time at 172. You must get some nice crit hits during your rotation. Not sure what else I can do to maximize that damage. All buffs and dots are up before I even pitch wildfire out there.

This is what I came up with. Compared to my previous test, I did get a few more crits. Other than that, it's a straight dps buff to full time GB.

I'd also wager that toggling GB is a dps loss due to ricochet's nerf.

I don't believe so. It's all based in the damage dealt in the last 15 seconds, crits included, so if it could crit, it would be overkill. It just needs to not be defended against twice.

So even at level 53, with the gauss improvements its better to keep it on now?

This is what I am hoping to test this evening when I get home. Previously, if you used no CD's and only did the rotation of split shot spam and hit the procs as they come, using the gauss barrel resulted in LOWER dps than with it on, or at least nearly identical dps, depending on RNG.

I am hoping what I find out this evening is that using the GB will see a noticeable increase in dps without using cd's, just using split shot spam and the procs as they come.
