So 3.01 do we stance dance still or leave GB on except for instances with alot of movement?

its definitely a dps increase to at least toggle GB. stance dancing and leaving it on for extended amounts of time is debatable. it takes decent oGCD management to know when you're able to mess with GB for a bit of extra dps though.

I've been looking into this to see what might be optimal, since AA + Weapon Skills is higher than Weapon Skills in Gauss.
Here's what I've come up with
1) GB ON -> Round + Lead ---- @ 20s Round/GB Off (No more Barrel for 10s)
2) GB ON -> Lead -> Round -> GB Off(20s window no Barrel) ->Repeat @ 1
So ~ 1/2 the time is spent outside of GB over 60s. But then you have your WildFire phase to include.

I'm curious if there is an issue with MCN Rook Damage. It is labeled as 80 Potency and yet it does the same damage as the MCN AA (with my current gear)
Which ends up being about half the damage of Split Shot @ 140 Potency (which means my current AA/Delay value is 70 Potency @ 2.46s)
So why then is my Rook only doing 70 Potency worth of damage.

I thought maybe it was something to do with Increased Action Damage not effecting AA damage. But AA has scaled the same with AA since before the second Action Damage buff. (pre-lvl 40)

It's actually not debatable. It was a minor gain before the change from 20% to 30% damage increase, and now it's always a gain. Unless you are uncomfortable with the class and don't know how to move and still use abilities, you should always leave Gauss Barrel on.

This might have been asked but I can't find it, is there a reason to use spread shot at level 60? My machinist is 53 and I'm already just using grenado for AoE.

If enemies are taking longer than 40-45 seconds, Spread Shot is better than Grenado. It's just rate of TP per point of damage. If You are using CDs, like Hawk Eye, Blood for Blood or Raging Strikes, Grenado is better than Spread Shot.

I haven't fully done the math for it yet, but the amount of oGCDs you have to fit in makes it really difficult to get off all your buffs off, because without Rapid Fire, Hot Shot + Lead Shot + Split Shot gain cast time making it impossible to weave any oGCDs and you have to get off Wildfire, Dex Pot, Blood for Blood, Gauss Round, Head Graze, Ricochet, Reassemble, Blank. Using Rapid Fire takes away the cast time for Hot Shot/Lead Shot which allows you to get off some of these buffs and assuming you can fit in 2 oGCDs, there is not much you can get off before Raging Strikes/Hawk's Eye is gone. I'm not too sure about Quick Reload where it is right now, it's present to refresh the stacks of Ammunition you have while having a lower cooldown on Reload. I do think that Reload is best used pre-pull as the difference in Potency will be minimum for getting the procs off on Split/Slug/Clean Shot, because the increase is 140 to 180 to 200, and you'll have Reload up soon anyways.

You use Reload for the 100% proc chance on Split and Slug shot, not the +20 potency.Using Rapid Fire takes away the cast time for Hot Shot/Lead Shot which allows you to get off some of these buffs and assuming you can fit in 2 oGCDs, there is not much you can get off before Raging Strikes/Hawk's Eye is gone.
