Anybody feel the same way?

The Au Ra looks awesome, but changing my race is comparable to playing final fantasy 13 and half way through, lightning suddenly looks completely different. Point being that my character is already immersed in the story and it would feel odd playing a completely different character. The most I would change is my hairstyle and maybe dye it, as that would be more realistic.
I could make an Au Ra on a 2nd character, but then I would need to play through the whole story, therefore I wouldn't be able to try out the new classes.

I kinda made my character appear to be some sort of shapeshifting demon who had lost her form and has had many shapes *since 1.0* and finally found her comftable form :3

This is one of the reasons I made an alt and used a fantasia to turn her into an au ra. Will never change my beautiful main character!

It would be good if you didn't have to play through the story again if you already have done so on your other character. It should be account bound.

I don't like the new race so I won't change it, but if the race were something different I would change. Now, the gender is what bothers me lol. Some people change their toon genders anytime. That throws me off and I am like eh??

I changed my Behemoth character from Hyur to Au Ra. I don't feel jarred in any way because I didn't like how the character looked to begin with.

I have no clue why they don't just unlock HW on all characters on the account as long as one has completed the main story. Not like many really share accounts.

I somewhat understand. To me me, my character pretty much have a "story" of their own. So when I do race change I also change the name and start off "fresh" that way.

I have too much invested in 1 character (all jobs, gathering and some crafters and decent gil) for me to start over using an alt.

I changed races a total of 4 times (Midlander, Highlander, Migo'te and now Au Ra) and with race change there was also a name change.

Dunno. If you didn't have to do the story again, I would probably pay for more characters.
