Early access yea right. It's insane this weekend, of all weekends, is free access. It's pretty much just a slap in the face from SE. Oh, i bet if I do manage to log in, i get 5-10 RMT messages within 5 minutes.

We should all just join JP servers. Then we wont have any problems
I've seen way too much White Knighting in *THAT OTHER POPULAR MMORPG* and I was REALLY hoping coming here would change that. Nope.
Funny thing is, NA servers have Launch Day congestion issues, while the 3 Japanese Datacenters are all humming along at 110% efficiency. THANKS SQUEENIX <3
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Burned out Raider turned Casual turned Tired gamer.
"I'm getting too old for this [REDACTED]"
So instead getting something along the lines of "we are trying to fix it" or "looking into solutions to alleviate congestion". We basically get "Here is what the error means and here is what is causing it, deal with it". Worthless.
Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.
So it is expected that you not allow customers to consume the product they pay you for? This is either a bug or its fraud.Greetings,
I'd like to a moment to clarify the errors you're seeing when attempting to log into the Aether data center. These errors are not something to do with a bug, or unexpected problem, on the part of the lobby server or World servers. What you're seeing with these errors is a result of the massive congestion surround Balmung and Gilgamesh (two of the largest NA Worlds), which happen to be on Aether. These two Worlds maintain an almost maximum number of concurrent users because of how large the population is on both of them. The errors you're experiencing are due to the large amount of congestion.
Unfortunately, this issue a result of the large populations being housed on the Aether data center.
Fix your sorry infrastructure.
Japanese expected work ethic is the difference I'm sure. It's not like they staff the Canadian data centers with the same people that staff the Japanese centers.I've seen way too much White Knighting in *THAT OTHER POPULAR MMORPG* and I was REALLY hoping coming here would change that. Nope.

I pay my taxes to drive on the highways. During rush hour, I sit in traffic. Should I tell the government that they owe me my tax money back?
Queues are unfortunately a separate issue entirely. If they would lock Balmung from future transfers, then at least what you're seeing now would be the greatest extent of it. However when one guy posted a thread asking for a lock, there was a decent number of people very against it. Until they lock Legacy servers from both new character creation and transfers, that problem's only going to continue to grow.I've been fighting to log into Balmung on Aether for 2 hours this evening. After clawing my way through the "Lobby server" error message several times, I then sit in a queue of near 1000 people only to get down to a handful of players in queue and then again get booted from the lobby server. This is absolutely absurd.
As for the data center lobby thing: I have to agree with everyone else. Balmung and Gilgamesh really do need to be on different Data Centers. Aether is already home to more servers than most. Having two of the most populated servers on top of that is only causing further problems.
So basically, SE's response is that WE overpopulate the server's
No seriously, this. We're not any more populated than the JP servers are, and yet I don't see those servers having trouble.
Epiphany: Error Code 2002 refers to the fact that NA/EU are running on server hardware from 2002. Genius!
